Hey! My name is AJ Safi, and I am the founder of Studdy Buddy. I’m so glad you’ve joined us on Studdy Buddy – a platform for connecting research labs and organizations with participants who are trying to earn a little extra money and help advance research.

When I was a freshman in college, I started participating in my first few research studies for extra credit in a psychology class. During one study, a researcher mentioned that I could also participate in studies for money. I began browsing bulletin boards around campus and discovered an abundance of opportunities to make $20 here, $30 there.

Soon thereafter, I was participating in studies regularly and, most importantly, on my own schedule. The studies were everything from fun to crazy, and helped me create a steady income stream.

It was also rewarding to me because I loved learning about the wide variety of research projects happening in Baltimore, MD, where I attended college.

In a given week, you could find me walking on a split belt treadmill on Monday, getting drunk in a research lab on Tuesday, and receiving an MRI on Wednesday.

My friends all loved what I was doing, so they asked me to hook them up with all of the studies I had participated in. They quickly started participating in studies as well, and loved the flexibility of opportunities.

Whenever I did a study, I asked researchers if they needed more participants. Researchers always told me recruiting was difficult, time consuming, and slow. I knew there had to be a better way.

I wanted to help researchers find participants so they could publish their findings faster, and I wanted to help my friends find opportunities to learn, make money, and even receive complimentary healthcare. And so I created an easy-to-use platform to connect you to researchers and named it Studdy Buddy. I hope you find it as awesome and helpful as I do.
