Recruiting NCT07873528

Anatomical Evaluation of Supraspinatus Through Ultrasonography and Biomechanical Measurements Following Blood Flow Restriction Therapy and Eccentric Exercise in Patients of Supraspinatus Tendinitis.

Conditions: Supraspinatus Tendinitis

Sex: All
Ages: 40 Years – 60 Years
Healthy volunteers: No
Phase: NA
Enrollment: 60
Sponsor: Sehat Medical Complex

Location: Sehat Medical Complex/UOL/UVAS Lahore Punjab Province

Summary

Patients of both gender groups with unilateral shoulder pain will be selected with age range 40-60 years from Sehat medical complex and randomly allocated into four groups (Group A, B, C and D) in Trial. The sample size will be 60 patients. Musculoskeletal ultrasound, goniometry, pain pressure threshold, dynamometer and functional indices will be used to measure the tendon thickness, range of motion, pain, muscle strength and function level.

Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria: * Patient age 40-60 years with unilateral shoulder. * Patient with at least two positive test (Empty Can, Hawkins-Kendy and Neer impingement test) in sitting and standing position will be enrolled. * Patient with shoulder pain history up to three months. * The shoulder pain on NPRS will be above or equal to 5 for the recruitment. * Both male and female population. * People who have not received any physical therapy treatment or exercise regimen for the past 3 months for upper limb injury or disease. Exclusion Criteria: * Patients with referred shoulder pain, systemic musculoskeletal pathology e.g., neurogenic, visceral referred pain. * Full thickness tear of rotator cuff muscle or tendons. * Patients with frozen shoulder pain or limited range of motion \< 90degree shoulder abduction. * Patients with previous shoulder surgery, intra articular injection, nerve block to shoulder last 6 month. * Pregnant woman or 6-month recent history of pregnancy. * Patient with history of blood pressure \>180mmHg systolic. * Patients with recent history of upper limb fracture, open wound, history of vascular surgery, uncontrolled diabetes and fistula in upper limb.
