Monopolar and Bipolar in Esophageal ESD

Summary

The objective of this study is to prospectively document the efficacy and clinical outcomes of Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection procedure that utilize either the novel Bipolar-Current ESD device (Speedboat RS2 by Creo Medical) or a monopolar knife.

Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria:Patient is ≥ 18 years oldPatient is capable of providing informed consentPatient is referred for ESD procedure of an esophageal neoplastic lesionExclusion Criteria:Patient is < 18 years oldPatient refused and/or unable to provide consentPatient is a pregnant womanPatients with lesions removed with other techniques besides ESD (i.e. cap EMR) or a modified ESD technique
