Summary

The objective of this study is the evaluation of different imaging methods for the optimal preoperative staging of colon cancer patients. Imaging findings will be compared with the histopathologic results of the specimen following surgical resection.

Inclusion Criteria:Histologically confirmed colonic adenocarcinomaPatient 18 to 90 years oldAbscence of comorbidities that may affect treatmentSigned informed consent of the patientExclusion Criteria:Inability to receive or contraindication for intravenous contrastRenal impairmentPrevious allergies to intravenous contrastsIncompatible implants with magnetic resonance imagingClaustrophobiaActive sepsis or systemic infectionUntreated physical and mental disabilityLack of compliance with the protocol processNon-granting of signed informed consent
