In this study, it will be investigated whether the methods of self-regulation of mental state have an effect on postoperative pain perception in colon cancer patients.

Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria:Written informed consent to participate in the studyAge >= 18 yearsHistopathological diagnosis of primary colon cancer without distant metastasisPlanned surgical treatmentFluency in PolishExclusion Criteria:Severe comorbidities with pain disordersRegular use of analgesicsCoexistence of another neoplastic diseaseUse of non-pharmacological pain management (including autohypnosis) prior to the studyPoor general conditionPrevious colorectal surgeryHearing disordersNo possibility of playback of the received recording
