Summary

The present randomized clinical trial aims to prove the safety and efficacy of an interactive mobile application (Care4Today®) to obtain sufficient weight loss and empower patients with morbid obesity before being submitted to a gastric by-pass.

Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria:Patients older than 18 and younger than 65 years who meet criteria to undergo bariatric surgeryBMI between 35 and 50 kg/m2 and indication of one-time surgerySigning the informed consent of the studyPatient suitable for laparoscopic surgeryPatient who demonstrates accessibility to a smartphone and basic digital competenceExclusion Criteria:Previous bariatric surgeryTwo-step surgeryPatient without resources to access the use of a Smartphone or without basic digital competenceContraindication for surgeryOther surgical procedures associated with the same intervention
