Overview

To understand whether psilocybin, a naturally occurring psychedelic substance, can help improve symptoms of sadness, depression, quality of life, hopelessness, and function in adults with ALS. Over approximately 8 months, participants will have about 15 meetings with the research team including psilocybin dosing sessions.

Eligibility

InclusionDiagnosed with ALS; at least 18 years old; feelings of despair and/or sadness; care partner willing to help during study; able to swallow pills
